CHRISTINA BERG

We were in a band called 'Rosie Malone' in 1980. It was mostly a cover band with a few original songs  by Christina & Brian (Hamilton) and a couple by me . After David (Seidule) & I left the band (we left at different times) by 1986 we had written a few songs together and asked Chris if she would come sing on the demos we had written. What you have here is a modern remake of the songs she sang on...and we're glad she did! Plus there are newer songs Christina has written ..

BLONDE IN THE CLOSET

BLONDE IN THE CLOSET:

Dawn Ritchie aka Dawn Adrenaline.

I must admit that I don't recall how I met Dawn? I think it was through some friends in a band I knew but....It was about 1986 or 87. We began to write songs together and after we had a few numbers we did what anyone  would do who wanted to make things more difficult ...we started a band, "Blonde in the Closet"  Dawns on vocals and I play everything else.

WANDA LAPP

Wanda is a singer I worked with at first just recording but we did play a few dates as 'Blonde in the Closet'  around 2010ish. Wanda is a singer who wants to ROCK but she may be the best torch singer I know. Here are a couple of numbers we did. Wanda sang all the vocal parts (what a gifted singer !) and I play everything else.

SHAWNA
SHAWNA FENELI

One of my all time favorite singers to record with (and play a few gigs with as well). I met Shawna through the keyboard player in 'Fredi & The Soul Shakers, Joe January. about 2012ish.. Though not a professional singer (she should have been) Shawna brings her soul to every session. Here are a few numbers we recorded together.  Shawna does a great job on vocals and I play everything else.

PERFECT JOHNNY          THE JOHNSON BROTHERS           THE RHYTHM HOUSE       FREDI & THE SOULSHAKERS
I spent 30 years playing music with this group of musicians, what an experiance !
The JB's were a continuation of the band call 'Perfect Johnny' circa 1988.(I'll include a bit of audio from them as well). An all original band with of all things a record deal. Which did us no good and produced no real money. So much for that. However The JB's had a GREAT singer. The one and only Kenny Jones. Who can be seen these days singing in a Rat Pack review in Las Vegas and touring the US and the world.. I must say Kenny was the best I've worked with...period!

So as it turns out this line of musicians from Perfect Johnny, The Johnson Brothers, The Rhythm House all morph, one night at the Skyline Cafe, into
Fredi & The Soul Shakers
. Ah, I remember the night well....

SIGHT & SOUND
HERMAN ODOM
This turns out to be the oldest recording I've posted. In 1976  I  worked as a guitar player for a producer/artist named John Fish at a studio on E Colfax,
I believe it was called 'Sight & Sound'. Just a little side note here, 'Sight & Sound' was owned by Pat Sullivan  who was the sound engineer at "Mammoth Gardens'  (now the Fillmore) when it was a concert venue. John Fish was the artist who produced the advertising & posters for Mammoth.
If you're ever in the Denver record store 'Twist & Shout' they have old posters on display from Mammoth Gardens done  by John
. Where was I...? Yes, Herman Odom.  Here are a couple of recordings done by Herman and Produced by John Fish. They are novelty tunes written by Herman  and yes, a good bit of fun.

THE DYLAN PROJECT
I have a friend ,Jon Steidemann, who runs the open mic night at Lincolns Road House. Since I started to go there and enjoy the musicians and the locals I noticed a lot of players playing Bob Dylan songs. I became friends with Dale Brunsvold, one the nightly performer, and we began discussing, among many different things, Bob Dylan  song catalog.  This inspired me to relook  my past as a musician. As I started playing many of those same songs  when I was younger. So I decided to record one and see how it went...? That's when the Dylan Project began. The back up band is THE BEAT COWBOYS. I did get a little help from David Seidule on 'Make you feel my Love' he played Organ & the Harmonica solo

THE SILVER PROJECT
This is a project started by Sam Silver. I first met Sam back in the 'Rhythm House' days, he played Percussion for the band. Forward 20 some odd years  to Lincolns Road House and in walks Sam...One  night Sam was lamenting about having trouble with his recording gear  and how he wanted to record a Pan Drum that was on loan to him...I volunteered to do the recording...that's how it all started.
This material is all improvised. There is no set anything when these sessions start. Sam plays Pan Drum, Violin and Dulcimer, Jacqueline Rose is the vocalist, Paul Visvader and Ken Bernstein both play Guitar & Bass .I engineer the session and make a rare suggestion...then after everyone goes home I add Pianos, Bass's, Vibes, Strings,Percussion,Sax's and on a rare occasion turn these 'songs' into videos...I love it, pure creativity and fun with no pressure!!!

MARK HUTCHENSON
MARK HUTCHENSON

I met my friend Mark at Lincolns Road House. He's one of the "House Band" as it were. You'll generally see him on Mandolin but for this session it's just Mark and his old Gibson & Martin...pure Americana. Mark wrote all pieces and they're great tunes. Not only is he a talented musician and song writer he's one heck of a Grand fellow as well.

THE SECRET
THE SECRET, Candi Cotton.

The Secret was the 1st band I I formed, it was about 1985 or 84.  The singer was Candi Cotton. I believe it was her first band however she did major in Theater at DU so she brought a good background, real good voice and the hunger to make things work. Thank you Candi ! The Secret was a cover band, think Missing Persons' but we did record and make a video of an original song...and heres the song.
